This notice describes how we calculate and charge sales tax. By visiting us at our Web site and by interacting with us, you are accepting the practices described in this notice.
As a company that is based in New York State, we are required to collect sales tax on all orders that are shipped to a New York State destination. We collect this tax from you and then we forward it to the state on a periodic basis.
Sales tax is calculated based on the prevailing sales tax rate for the delivery destination at the time of your order. Sales tax is not necessarily the same for every city, county, or Zip code region in New York State. It will be uniquely calculated for the delivery destination that you specify in your order.
Although the purchase of gift certificates is nontaxable, coupons and gift certificates that you redeem at this store do not reduce your sales tax. They have no cash value and simply reduce the total cost of your order after sales tax has been applied. |
